Each year the Society organises an impressive range of activities and events which appeal to all its members – the young and young at heart – singles and partners – families and friends. Those who enjoy meeting and mixing will find a unique spirit of fun – enjoying great music – easy accents – engaging personalities – even a bit of poetry – and an abundance of that quintessential uniquely lrish element of “craic”. “St. Pat’s” fosters the inclusive tradition of Irish welcome with membership open to all. The only requirement is that one be open to friendship and be willing to share in the inspiring enthusiasm and great good humour that are the essential hallmarks of all within the Saint Patrick’s Society family.
The St. Patrick’s Ball –
This annual spectacular kicks off with a champagne reception accompanied by Irish Harp music. With over four hundred people, the ladies in a rainbow of ball gowns and the gentlemen in black tie it is an event of both culture and glamour. The dinner is accompanied by free flow drinks, whilst we enjoy the Irish dancing demonstration and afterwards dance the night away into the early hours.
The 2015 Ball was once again a tremendous success, what a fantastic atmosphere with wine and music flowing into the early hours. With the charity raffle raising over $20,000 for our selected charity Sanctuary house, we must say a big thank you to everyone who generously participated in the raffle.
Irish Cultural Night
An evening of Irish poetry, prose, music and song. An evening of culture and fun, a taste of the emerald Isle.
Children’s Halloween and Christmas Parties
Opportunities for the younger members of our community to get together and have some fun. Traditional apple bobbing at Halloween and the chance to meet Santa at the children’s Christmas party are highlights of these events.
Charity Quiz Nights
The Irish competitive spirit makes for great fun during these events. Hosted at one of the Irish Pubs in Singapore you can expect good drinks and food whilst you put your brains to the questions. Popular rounds include, ‘Irish News’ and ‘Christmas music’.
Our monthly coffee mornings are a chance to relax in the company of other members of the society.
